$pread Blog

$pread is in need of a Brooklyn-based (our office is off the Jefferson Ave. L train) staffer to take care of order fulfillment. Commission is 25% of the price of new orders (comes to about $70 a month). Because $pread fans depend on getting what they pay for, we need to verify your reliability with a reference.

Here's a general overview of the Order Fulfillment staffer's responsibilities:
- Process new orders that come through the $pread store
- mail orders about once a week and keep a Google Docs spreadsheet of relevant info. Keep receipts for reimbursement.
- Check store email and respond to customer inquiries. Forward emails when necessary and liaise with other $pread staff to answer questions (ie outreach, subscriptions, ad payments, distribution). Email customers when orders are returned to check for new addresses.
- Maintain and update online store using Zen Cart.
- Transfer payments from Paypal store account.
- Keep an inventory of shirts and tanks, and reorder when stock is low.
